Our Structure

Patterson Market Research has seven salaried employees in Perth, and a field team of about 90 part time interviewers. We operate on two levels.

The Market Research Consulting services is led by Managing director and Senior Consultant, Keith Patterson, who has over 20 years experience as a research professional, mostly as a research supplier, but including 8 years as Research Manager for The Age Newspaper in Melbourne. He has also worked in brand management for Rexona (Sunsilk / Pears hair care), and for the medical research specialist Foresearch (Sydney).

Carmen Goodridge is one of our Senior Research Consultants. She joined Patterson Market Research in January 2003. She comes to the team having held a Research Consultant position with another Perth research company. She was promoted to the role of Senior Consultant in January 2005.

Amy Palmer has recently joined Patterson Market Research in July 2006 as a Research Analyst/Consultant having recently emigrated from the U.K. She has two years experience working as a Project Manager – Research Analyst for a research company in the U.K. In her role as Research Analyst/Consultant, Amy will carry out analysis tasks associated with research projects as well as being involved in consulting tasks such as questionnaire design and reporting, working under the guidance of Senior Consultants Keith and Carmen.

Pearl Lim is a Research Assistant / Scriptwriter who joined Patterson Market Research in September 2004. She provides the CATI scriptwriting resources for both the range of Patterson’s research projects and for projects conducted by West Coast Field Services in its role as an independent field work provider for a range of Perth and east coast research consultancies.

West Coast Field Services meets the fieldwork needs of Patterson’s and provides professional fieldwork facilities to other WA consultancies, and companies on the East Coast who have no need for a permanent presence in WA, but require periodic quality assured field services in our market for national market research projects.

This important component of our operation is managed by Field Operations Manager, Sandra Simpson, who has extensive experience in market research operations. She is supported by a well trained team of supervisors and field team coordinators, one of whom also has responsibility for maintaining the Quality Assurance standards of WCFS. The team has about 90 casual interviewers all of whom have been trained to the industry quality standard (IQCA).

The benefit in this structure for our Perth clients is that we can retain the high level of client service normally associated with smaller consultancies, yet fund high quality field management expertise from our contract field operations.
